Dude was totally correct. Tulip tree, Magnolia tree, both almost interchangeable or at least part of the same family of trees. Either way, dare we say: very pretty in spring.
And let’s not forget, it bears repeating, in 1996 Jay didn’t have much option to figure out what tree was what in Central Park, other than ask the random [hopefully erudite] stranger. What’s he gonna do, try to find an encyclopedia? Visit the library? So kudos to him for doing so.
