As we’ve been able to determine, this locker room at the Metropolitan Museum of Art was shared not only by the restaurant staff but also by staff from the employee dining room, the mezzanine wine bar, the cafeteria, the executive dining room (where Jay was stationed for much of this early time, serving chablis and crumpets to the likes of Philippe de Montebello –  [who preferred his Oloroso “neat”] and other hoity toity high-ups and patrons) The Roof Garden Café and the Petrie Court Escape, and was shared by cashiers, wait staff, bartenders, cooks, dishwashers, and all other support staff that keeps a place like the Met serving food to the masses that cycle through daily.
